| Puerto Natales is the capital of Ultima Esperanza (Last Hope) province, in Chile's twelfth region. Population = 17000. Operational base for visitors to Torres del Paine National Park, Bernardo O'Higging National Park (in Chile) and Los Glaciares National Park across the border in Argentina.
We reached Puerto Natales by a 4 day ride on the Navimag ferry service from Puerto Natales. Puerto Natales lies by Seno de Ultima Esperanza (Last Hope Inlet) and views of the surrounding mountains can be enjoyed on a promenade by the water. |
