At the top of Kala Patthar (5649m/18530 ft.). Everest and the Khumbu Icefall. Changtse is at the left edge over the Lho La pass. The Lho La pass is significant becuase of the historical association with George Mallory. This is the pass which George Mallory climbed from the Tibetan side in 1922 and pronounced the Khumbu Icefall "unclimbable".
