At the northern end of Durbar Square, the Bhimsen Temple is dedicated to the god of trade and business. Although it is not known when it was first built, an inscription records that it was rebuilt in 1682 after a fire. A lion tops a pillar in front of the temple. Thle the brick building has an artificial marble facade and a gilded facade on the first floor.
